Pantycelyn, Cwmann - Planning Ref : E/32800

LAND AT PANT Y CELYN, CWMANN, LAMPETER, SA48 8HE

DISCHARGE OF CONDITIONS 6 (DETAILS OF TURBINE); 7 (DETAILS OF SWITCHGEAR ROOM/SUBSTATION, ACCESS TRACK, PERMANENT HARDSTANDINGS); 8 (CONSTRUCTION METHOD STATEMENT); 9 (BIODIVERSITY MITIGATION PLAN); 10 (CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN); 13 (ELECTRICAL CABLING)

This is an application made to the Planning Dept to discharge conditions imposed by the Planning Inspector when he gave approval for this 86.5 M turbine, the tallest single machine to date in Carmarthenshire.

Given the relative speed with which this application has been made, and the developers' stated intention to get the turbine up and operational by March 2016, it may be that they are trying to stay ahead of any change in the Feed in Tarriffs (FITs) in April.

MLAG is composing a response to the application as there seem to be some challenges that can still be made to ensure this discharge of conditions complies exactly with the detail of the original application, as approved by the PI.

If there appears to be anything the public could usefully do, in opposition to the application to discharge conditions, we will add the details here.

Meantime, you can view the application here
